Paramedics from an agency other than CHS MIHC

Sat, 06/23 by cmurtaugh

Just a reminder that at NO TIME is a paramedic from another agency permitted to ride in the back of our ambulance alone. At a minimum, our EMT rides and completes a full PCR. If it is a situation where a fly car paramedic on scene declines to transfer care to our paramedic (which is their prerogative), our paramedic will ride in the back with the visiting paramedic. Please be sure to inform the other paramedic that we will return them to their vehicle, however we are in service when leaving... read more

Change in Staging Plan for overnights

Sat, 05/12 by cmurtaugh

Since the implementation of the Caledonia operation, it appears that the Caledonia truck is moving a lot between staging areas, especially on the night shift. In an effort to better utilize available resources, we have updated the staging plan for the overnight. The actual data to determine the best use of resources is thin as we’ve only been operating in Caledonia for a month, so we are doing a two- month trial, with the goal of reducing some stress on the team and utilizing resources... read more

Recently the VHF mobile radios in all CHS vehicles have been updated to have the following channels in order: Fire 3, Fire 4, Livingston County, Henrietta Fire, Gates 80, Chili 90.
