Supply Exchange with 4th Batt. FD

Wed, 01/25 by cmurtaugh

Apparently Chili Ambulance was supplying equipment and supplies to the fire departments on scene. If they used a cannula, c-collar, etc. they would exchange one for one. I let the 4th Batt Fire Chiefs (Chili, Gates, Clifton, Churchville, and Mumford) that we will not be continuing that practice. If you are asked for equipment / supplies at the scene, politely decline. We will continue to fill oxygen cylinders, exchange will occur at the CHS ambulance station in Chili.

Recording On Scene time when Staging

Wed, 01/25 by cmurtaugh

If you are staging for a call, such as a potentially violent MHA, etc. You should record your on-scene time as the time you arrive at the staging location. You record time at patient as the actual time you make patient contact. Whenever you stage, for a call you are dispatched on, (this doesn’t include our internal staging or staging for Brighton) you need to indicate that you were staging and the reason on your PCR.

Priority 1 or 2? Step Lively!

Mon, 11/17 by nmathews

The expectation for all priority 1 and 2 calls is that you stop what you’re doing and walk with purpose to the vehicle. Since you will be moving swiftly to the vehicle, you can acknowledge the call in the rig. Also, remember that the closest in-service unit should respond to these level calls.

A Message From The Chief

Sun, 01/04 by nmathews

As we begin 2015, I find myself reflecting on this past year and looking eagerly towards the New Year. I know this because I see it happening and we receive hundreds of unsolicited thank you letters every year from our patients. The success of our organization is a direct result of your dedication to Henrietta Ambulance and the communities that we... read more
